Only individuals with a regular source of income are eligible to be Chapter 13 debtors. Chapter 13 is also sometimes called a wage-earner’s plan or debt adjustment. Debtors need not liquidate nonexempt property if creditors are provided with payments at least equal to what they would have received in a Chapter 7 liquidation. A discharge of debts does not occur until plan completion.
